In honor of National Volunteer Week, we would like to recognize our amazing volunteers. They’re absolutely essential to our organization and our mission. Without their love and support, we would not be able to help so many pets.
More than ever, volunteers are giving their time to help save lives with our organization. By giving their spare time, our volunteers make sure our facilities stay clean, our pets stay healthy, and all the work behind finding homes and fixing pets gets done efficiently and effectively.
In 2016, our volunteers gave nearly 11,000 hours of their time to make that happen. While our most popular volunteer roles included Adoption Center Pawlunteer, Transport Load Up, and Adoption Outreach Sidekicks, people also gave their time to answer phones, drive across the country for our relocation program, and even feed bottle babies throughout the night.
These are just some of the things our wonderful volunteers do. Most are also fosters for the pets in our adoption program. Not only are they giving their time but also they’re opening up their homes and providing love and shelter for our pets.
So thank you, volunteers, for being our arms and legs! We appreciate you more than you could ever imagine. It is because of your generosity that we continue to save countless lives.
