Tug's Bio

Tug is just as cute as can be! He is medium to high energy as he is still a puppy. Has gotten along with the foster moms 3 dogs and her cat. The foster's youngest dog plays with him off and on all day; she even taught him how to use the dog door, so housebreaking Tug was easy on his foster. Tug is crate trained. He is good in his crate all night, but is accustomed to getting a marrow bone at night. He loves spending one on one time with his foster every evening on the patio before crating for the night. During this time he goes out for his last potty break and then sits on his foster's lap for cuddles and praise. Tug loves to play ball and responds to "get it" and "bring it"; he loves returning the ball so he can chase it again. He adores the water and will play in a kiddie pool. His foster mom suspects he would be very attracted to a swimming pool. When he drinks water, his entire muzzle goes in the bowl. Tug knows knows the sit command and his foster has begun working with him on the leash; he does pretty well, but needs more experience with it. He will do well with older children, 9 and up, because he loves to play and could potentially knock over a younger kiddo. Tug will do great with another dog who likes to do zoomies. He is very sweet and loves hugs and kisses. He does still like to play using his mouth, so he will need a home that understands he is still a puppy and with training and patience will grow out of this. Tug is ready to become a beloved family member.
