Brandi's Bio

My name is Brandi with an I!
I lived my life before meeting my foster parents as a street dog so I am cautious in new unknown situations but once I warm up and feel safe, I am loyal and a good listener. I can be sassy, sweet, but overall I am usually described as a gentle soul with lots of goofy quirks. My foster mom says I have good manners which is why I do so well making new friends on the walks we go on. I love going exploring the outdoors but do tend to wander since walking with a leash is a new skill for me.

I like to play but am very gentle with toys and really like bully sticks. They are the only chews I like so far. I love making a blanket nest in my bed. I am a low to medium energy level gal. I mostly love snuggles on the couch, but can get the occasional quick zoomies for a moment when I am really excited! I am really good with smaller dogs and polite big dogs. With only one eye I sometimes get caught off guard by high-energy big dogs and get knocked over and I don't like that. I am a little awkward in a high-energy playgroup cause I'm still learning the rules. I haven't met any cats yet but I'm great around chickens ( foster mom has a few) and I'm very gentle around house plants if those are your other pets of choice.

I am good around older kids who give me a chance to sniff them and give sweet kisses ( a family with kids 10 and older would be best) because I can't see on one side; I get scared with lots of running around me, so low energy is best for me. Sweet snuggles are my favorite thing.

I know my name, sit, shake, off(off bed or couch), and go to bed( crate or dog bed) and out (to leave a room or space). I am housebroken and have never had an accident while with my foster parents. I am crate trained but have been kept in a playpen to give more room and doing great. I am a dog who has had a tough life before this year but I love my foster parents and if given a chance I could love you too!
